Roberto Renteria

Ph.D (he/him)

I have worked with clients across the lifespan and from different cultural backgrounds. This has bolstered my holistic approach to therapy, where we’ll work to examine and understand the links between your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

I believe therapy is a space where we can engage in brave self-exploration, a space to figure what may be holding us back from being our best selves. As a therapist I will work closely with you to figure what is what may be leading to those feelings of “stuckness”. My approach is affirming and based in compassion with the goal of helping you gain insight and assist you in taking real action to achieve positive change.

Rooted in my commitment to social justice, I work from an understanding that prejudice and social inequality have real impacts on our health and lives. Counseling can be a space to explore how those experiences can affect our health. I firmly that each one of us has the potential to engage in real change and find peace and happiness. My goal as your therapist is to help clarify your values, identify your inner potential, and take steps towards positive change.
